Introduction to holotomography
Tomocube’s holotomography (HT) provides a new means to image cells and tissues. Unlike conventional optical microscopy techniques, HT provides quantitative three-dimensional (3-D) imaging of live cells and tissues without using staining or fluorescence proteins. HT is an optical analog of X-ray computed tomography (CT); holotomography measures 3-D maps of refractive index distributions of cells, whereas X-ray CT measures 3-D maps of X-ray absorptivity. In this webinar, Prof. Park will present what is the principles behind the HT technology, and the advantages and potentials of this new imaging approach for the study of cells and tissues.
